Pediatric Hospitalist NW Ohio-opening for a BE/BC Pediatrician with a 150 bed hospital located 50 miles south of Toledo, OH. The duties include overseeing the Special Care Nursery Level IIB, newborn care, attendance at all high risk deliveries, inpatient pediatric care, and emergency department consults. Prospective candidates must be able to manage infants born at 32 weeks and above and manage CPAP, Surfactant, and ventilator care. Hospitalists work seven to eight 24 hour in-house shifts per month, managing an average daily census of 12 which includes 2 pediatric inpatients, 6 well newborns, and 4 special care patients.
