Family Practice Residency Program Director- Western New York
Primary Care practice located in western New York is seeking a BC Family Practice Residency Program Director for their main clinic site. The practice is one of New York State’s only Rural 1-2 Track for Family Medicine residency program for a local university. The providers are teaching faculty for the program.
60-70% of his/her time to running the Hospital/University Family Medicine Rural 1-2 Residency Track program. This is considered a fairly prestigious job. The selected physician would be faculty at the nearby medical school and would work 30-40% of his/her time as a clinician, seeing a small panel of patients and the rest of his/her time devoted to the residency program. This physician would become the primary mentor to the residents.
This FQHC sees 700 patients per week for all sites. The providers see 20-22 patients per day. The center is a thriving family medicine/Obstetrics practice that is expanding. The clinic provides diabetes education, prepared childbirth classes, and integrated behavioral medicine at all three of their sites.
The clinic offers a four day or five day work week based on the providers preference. They offer a competitive salary, complete benefit package, malpractice, and loan repayment as the area is medically underserved.
The area has a variety of four season recreation including a major downhill ski resort, just thirty minutes away. There is Allegany State Park, and the Allegany River Trail for camping and hiking. Buffalo is located one and a half hours away for major league hockey and football enthusiasts. The community has great schools, colleges, and universities.
